The last cross country race of the 2013/4 season took place at Staunton Country Park on 2nd March 2014. The weather was kind during the race and the mud didn’t disappoint! We were well represented with 17 runners after the initial response being low due to training for Spring marathons fully under way. A huge […]

X Country – Manor Farm Country Park 26th Jan
Well, at least the wet and muddy conditions came as no surprise. The course was slightly less muddy than last time believe it or not; but the puddles had ideas above their station and were pretending to be lakes! I think the rain stopped briefly during the race, at least it wasn’t as bad as […]
X Country – Lord Wandsworth College 29th December
Muddy is the only word to describe this run….really, really muddy. Muddy and hilly and even more muddy! Just four ladies made it, but we came in 9th which was fantastic (I take no credit). The men fielded a bigger team and made 7th place with a stunning run from MacGregor Cox who made that last hill […]
X Country – Bourne Woods 8th December

There was a great turnout from Waverley Harriers, despite the conflicting attraction of the Hogs Back race and other local events so many thanks to […]

Cross country report – 30th December 2012
Well done to everyone who turned out for the Cross Country on 30th December 2012. Apparently the route was a mud-fest, but the cakes were amazing. With all this snow around, does anyone remember what mud looks like?
