Staunton Country Park – 2nd March 2014

The last cross country race of the 2013/4 season took place at Staunton Country Park on 2nd March 2014. The weather was kind during the race and the mud didn’t disappoint! We were well represented with 17 runners after the initial response being low due to training for Spring marathons fully under way. A huge […]

X Country – Manor Farm Country Park 26th Jan

Well, at least the wet and muddy conditions came as no surprise. The course was slightly less muddy than last time believe it or not; but the puddles had ideas above their station and were pretending to be lakes! I think the rain stopped briefly during the race, at least it wasn’t as bad as […]

X Country – Lord Wandsworth College 29th December

Muddy is the only word to describe this run….really, really muddy. Muddy and hilly and even more muddy! Just four ladies made it, but we came in 9th which was fantastic (I take no credit). There was a great turnout from Waverley Harriers, despite the conflicting attraction of the Hogs Back race and other local events so many thanks to […]

Final cross country of the season

Cross Country report – 27th January 2013

Waverley Harriers survive the mud (again!) with both teams performing well at the Manor Park Farm cross country 5 miler. Well done to the 16 Harrriers who braved the mud bath, the ladies team were 5th and the men were 13th (out of 20 Clubs). Waverley Harriers came 10th overall.
