A total of 14 Waverley Harriers Members took part in the 5 mile cross country run at Pamber Forest on Sunday 30th September. We were warmly welcomed by the other clubs and generated quite a bit of positive interest. The race was well organised and marshalled and the refreshments at the end were delicious!
A huge thank you to ‘Team Waverley’ – Andrew Lockett, David Male, Teresa Male, Darren Frost, Sarah Frost, Rebecca Atkins, Julia McHale, Elaine Thomas, Kate Fargus, Tim Hughes, Len Philipps, Wendy Wright, Bridget Bagnall and Liz Hoare for supporting the club!
Provisional Results:
- Waverley Ladies – 1st out of 18 clubs
- Waverley Men – 15th out of 18 clubsOverall Waverley Result – 9th out of 18 clubs.
After the enjoyment, team spirit and success of today I would really like to encourage you to run on 11th November at Queen Elizabeth Country Park at 11am. Please let Sarah Frost know if you are available – it would be fantastic to have even more runners.
