OK – so I wasn’t running the London Marathon and had been gutted to miss out on a two day race along the Cotswolds Way earlier in April (due to a bout of the dreaded flu).
As luck would have it along came the Evesham Ultra – a new entrant to the long distance scene – so I got a last minute entry in to this 45 mile tour of the hills south of Evesham.
I was slightly under prepared for the distance but it was a great long day out and all good training for a possible Lakeland 100 attempt in July. The views from the top of Bredon Hill were a highlight (possible lowlight was the 3 mile stretch where some helpful local folks had switched the course markers).
