Thanks to Sarah for another great track session on a stunning summer’s evening last week. Many thanks also to Owen for bringing his camera along and capturing some new photos for the website (despite the broken elbow!). Wise words from Sarah on maintaining good running form – check out more photos on our Facebook group.
Waverley Harriers – Here, there and everywhere
As part of a new feature for the website, we thought we’d enclose a few images in the PowerPoint to show the variety of events people have taken part in over April and May this year. The plan is that we’d like to so this regularly so it will rely on you sending through your images […]
JP’s Reflections on Manchester and Milton Keynes
Manchester & Milton Keynes Marathons I’ve read some very comprehensive marathon write-ups by fellow club runners recently and was asked to pen my own words for Manchester & Milton Keynes which I ran on 6th April and 5th May. Having PB’d in one and PW’d in the other I think I’ve learnt one or two […]
Running related links
One of the great things about joining the Waverley Harriers running club is the chance to meet fellow like minded runners and talk about different events, training, routes etc. I thought I’d take the chance to share some running related sites that I find useful as additional sources of information. It would be great for […]
North Dorset Villages Marathon 4th May
After the flurry of city marathons over the last few weeks it seems like I’m one of the last club members to run a spring marathon. Well at last I got my chance over the bank holiday weekend – travelling down to North Dorset to run this very low key event (just 300 marathoners). This […]

VLM 2014 Report – From zero to 26
Last year, I was really pleased to have been given a club ballot place for the London Marathon 2014. It’s an event I have grown up watching and always wanted to do. I was coming off the back of a PB at the Great South run and my times were improving so my motivation to […]
David’s magic 3hrs
A long post but well worth the read….from David Pallister.. Back in the mists of time (April 2003) I completed the London Marathon in a time of 4 hrs 15 mins. While that was perfectly respectable, I was disappointed personally as I knew I hadn’t run to my own potential. For a variety of reasons […]
Bluebell Run – 23rd April 2014
There was a good turnout for the traditional spring ‘bluebell’ run on this week’s Wednesday club run. With a mix of some rain and warm evening sunshine the woods felt pretty magical. Looking forward to many more evening off road runs through the spring and summer.
