You are welcome to come along for a few training sessions and see if the club is right for you before you decide to join. The best way to try us out is to join a Thursday or Sunday social run. There will be several groups running at difference paces.
Please do join us for two or three free taster runs to see see if the club is right for you before deciding whether to become a member.
We have several training sessions each week. Our main meeting is the Thursday evening run from Godalming. We also offer more structured coaching sessions during the month from the same location and other meeting points as required.
Meet one of our leaders at the end of Mark Way (off Charterhouse Road) where free parking is available. We will leave at 7pm and take the group to the track.
DO NOT park anywhere on Charterhouse property.
These sessions are led by a volunteer club leader or coach and include a thorough warm-up, drills and then interval sessions. They are a great way to improve your speed endurance and we always cater for all levels, so don't be put off coming along!
New members should contact email@example.com to trial one of these sessions.
We meet at 7pm at the Wilfrid Noyce Centre (GU7 1HR) for a social run, aiming to finish by 8pm.
Depending on numbers we will split into several groups so you will be able to find a pace that is right for you. We usually have groups covering 5km (3.1 miles) to 10km (6.2 miles) within the hour.
During the winter months we keep to the streets of Godalming and Farncombe, whilst in the summer we enjoy off-road running on the many trails in the area, including along the River Wey.
Free parking (after 6:30pm) is available in Crown Court car park adjacent to the Wilfrid Noyce Centre (GU7 1HR), where there are toilets.
We meet at 9am for a long off-road run, typically 13 to 16 km (8 to 10 miles) - or longer for those in marathon preparations!. Our starting point is Crown Court car park in Godalming, but may vary.
Favourite routes include the River Wey, North Downs/Puttenham, Bramley/Downs Link or Milford/Hankley Common.
Free parking is available in Crown Court car park adjacent to the Wilfrid Noyce Centre (GU7 1HR).
- Tuesday: not allowed - this is a performance session based on a private running track, so is not suitable.
- Thursday: not allowed - we often run in groups on narrow public paths during the dark in winter, so is not suitable.
- Sunday: allowed as long as everyone in the group agrees - our focus is on running and the well being of (human) runners, so for example we would be prefer to be inclusive of a runner with a dog phobia.
Many of our members organise their own more focused runs, so you are welcome to arrange a canicross run outside the "official" sessions.
